Frank Gorshin was the comedian behind the Classic TV Series most popular villain, the Riddler. Gorshin also appeared as the Riddler in the movie, due a falling out in negotiations he ceased an appearing on the show, and was replaced by John Astin in the second season. Gorshin appeared again in season three episodes with Joan Collins as the Siren.
Gorshin was the only villain actor to reprise his role in Legends of the Superheroes with Adam West and Burt Ward, which speaks volumes about his popularity compared to other guest stars. Years later he appeared as a villain with Julie Newmar in Return to the Batcave.

Gorshin appeared with Eartha Kitt and Newmar for TV Land commercials promoting the show in his later years. He played Hugo Strange in 2004 cartoon series, The Batman.
